Last minute details
Mark is heading out in just about 24 hours.
It has been a whirlwind few days. Last minute details. Finalizing finances. Downloading books. Getting his Skype up and going. And of course all the last bits of American food he will be enjoying for a while.
But that is really of no significance.
What is really important is his willingness to follow the Lord's leading as Mark travels across the waters to share the love of Christ with those who have not heard.
It is like many of us when we first heard of Christ. Some of us may have grown up hearing Christ's name uttered in a profane way. Others in a mocking way. And still others of us in a real soul searching impacting way.
Why travel all the way across the seas when there is so much to be done here?
The only simple reason: When God calls you to go, you best go. Otherwise you may miss out on your blessing and it will be passed onto someone else. What a shame when that happens.
So Mark is taking off. But not by himself. He has a great group of people praying for him 24/7. Many different fellowships have come alongside all of us as we launch out in faith to those among the Mekong.
We hope to have much more posted over the next week or so. A video. Some pictures. And some of Mark's own words as he emails and skypes back to us here.
Enjoying our journey with Christ.
David for us all
